Choice
printers are a paramount feature to any office environment. There are two types of printers, the monochrome and the colour types. Monochromes speak for themselves and quite simply produce black and white printouts. These are apt for text prints and models are often very fast producing an average of around 500 sheets per minute. This obviously is very much dependant on the type and capacity. Colour printers are equally used to print out black and white pages and colour just as quick as the afore mentioned. These types of printers are generally more expensive than others and the consumable for them are also expensive. This is not a massive compromise for the quality and increased speeds per print.

Which Printer?
There are many features and factors in a laser printer, the first thing to note is the consumables used in the printer itself! Cost is a main factor of any product investment, for instance the cost of a single printout depends on the total costs of the consumables. used divided by the total number of printed pages. The bonuses of a laser printer is that there are few components that have to be altered. Such devices include the Toner Cartridge which further has many components in it like the Developer Unit, Fuser Unit and Ozone Filter. This inevitably explains the expensive nature of the Toner Cartridges. In some models the entire unit has to be changed, whereas in certain models varying components can be changed.

Technology!
One avenue to cover is the handling capacity of these type of printers. The capacity differs from varying types of paper like A4 A3 etc. Less important, but still worth considering is the size of the paper tray size. Please understand that not all printers are compatible with both Windows and Apple Computers. Nowadays most laser printers come equipped with a USB port to connect to a Computer. With this connection method the rate of transfer Data is higher equally bear in mind the memory capacity is also worthy of note as this is directly proportionate to the speed. The more the Memory the greater the Speed

Technical Issues!

Once the correct size and specification of printer is chosen, the resolution needs to be addressed. Resolution is normally determined by an abbreviation know as dpi, this equates to dots per inch. These are measured both vertically and horizontally , a general rule is 'the more dpi the better the resolution. Standard Resolution is 600x600 and is also inversely proportionate to the speed of the printer. Ultimately more resolution equals less speed per print out which is characterized by pages per minute ppm.
