WHY CHOOSE A CONSERVATORY
|
| |
The first question is, what is a conservatory?
There is no standard definition of what constitutes a conservatory
There is a vast array of options to choose from when you are planning to add an outdoor living space to your home. Most people have an instilled concept about conservatories but are unaware that there are a number of variations in the range. Firstly, there are patio rooms which, in this case the rooms are built on decks or patios that are capable of withstanding the weight and stress of an entire room over it. This type are very much affordable and quite simply a favourable choice for many consumers. Patio rooms do not alter the line of construction of your home and ultimately are a very cheap alternative to having a brick built extension whilst still having the same appeal in terms of adding an extra room.

The advantages of the Patio Rooms are that they can support many options like the screens and the glass window panes. These options help to create the exact environment that you want in keeping with the temperature outside. The glass panes are an excellent repellent from the weather elements, during all seasons and provide the most spacious feel to your room. Ensure that you choose a good manufacturer who provides excellent craftsmanship. The supplier must use strong glass and sturdy roofs throughout the construction. It is equally important that the supplier provides a good customer oriented service, should you need help with technical issues. If you want it to last and keep looking good, buy the best one in the most expensive material your budget allows.

If you prefer to build a conservatory sunroom that is more in keeping with your internal rooms then a UPVC conservatory would be best. These are more comfortable in that they are comfortable enough to live in throughout the year. An advantage to a Conservatory is that the existing heating and cooling system of the main home can be extended to be used in your new living space. This making it even more pleasurable to use all year round!

Check out different designs on the internet. Send off for brochures and make your conservatory as big as your budget or actual floor space will allow. Stake out the dimensions of the conservatory on the ground with pegs.
Make an informed decision as to whether you want a conservatory with glass full height, glass and UPVC panelling or one with dwarf walls and glass.
If you do decide to go for UPVC Conservatory please consider your neighbours. Will your new build effect the enjoyment of their sunlight, their garden? All these issues need to be reviewed and possibly discussed with the neighbours. This preparation will undoubtedly eliminate unnecessary problems in the future.

SO WHAT NOW?
|
| |
If you are ready to purchase your conservatory with a company and you are instructing them to carry out the work please take note. Check, double check and get independent advice on the contract before you sign, as some contracts are considerably more onerous than others. The best way to avoid any pitfalls is to be sure of what you want before the company representative arrives and then present him with your requirements and use that as your bargaining tool!
